Marilyn And Her Mother

Marilyn And Her Mother

Much has been said over the years about the relationship between Marilyn and her mother – it was difficult and strained, this much we know.  Gladys’ mental illness made things so that, by the end of Marilyn’s life, the two women had no real relationship at all.

The Truth About Marilyn’s Dress Size

The Truth About Marilyn's Dress Size

In this article I am going to reveal the truth about Marilyn’s dress size.

There are many myths that surround Marilyn Monroe – mostly about her death – but one such myth I’d like to dispel is the controversy surrounding her true dress size.  People have argued about this over the years – most adamant that she was a size 16, plus-sized or, in some cases even obese and many articles have been written on the subject, some good, some bad – I’ve included a link to a very good one here.

A lot of people use Marilyn to hold her up as the example of a real woman, others to mock her as being “fat” or “very big”.  The truth of the matter is that Marilyn was a curvy woman but she was also very petite.  So let’s get to the bottom of this here: Continue reading “The Truth About Marilyn’s Dress Size”

I find it really strange and exciting that I’ve been given the opportunity to write about both of these periods. I’ve also always been intrigued by her marriage to Arthur Miller and then the time after her divorce, leading up to her last summer. Maybe the universe will present me with these projects too in the future! Continue reading “Michelle Morgan – Marilyn Author – Part Two”

Arthur Miller’s Life After Marilyn

Arthur Millers Life After Marilyn

In part three of this series we take a look at Arthur Miller’s life after Marilyn.

Marilyn and Arthur Miller’s lives changed once they returned from filming of The Misfits in November 1960 – they separated – with her going to live in their New York apartment, and Miller staying at the house in Roxbury, Connecticut.

The couple reached an agreement prior to Marilyn travelling to Mexico to file for divorce in January 1961.  It included Miller keeping Hugo the dog, the house at Roxbury and all assets (aside from Marilyn’s things) and she got their New York apartment.  There was no financial settlement made between the two – each kept their own money earned up to that point.
